Children burials

Vitrina 87
The showcase presents two infant burials from Castellet de Bernabé (Lliria). Perinatal individuals and infants of up to six months of age -although the age varies according to geography, culture and chronology- are buried inside houses, under the floor surface. Bodies are cremated and placed inside urns with plates as lids. Grave offerings are diverse, and vary according to the buried individual's status, but generally, without the degree of social stratification that occurs in the necropolis.
